Ordering iPhone?

If i order new iPhone via Apple Website, is it going to arrive to my house or I have to pick it up in Apple Store?

speaking of which, I know ATT is sold out of their intial batch shipments for pre-orders. If anyone has pre-ordered a 3gs from apple recently, have you gotten any confirmation that the phone will be shipped to your house on Friday?

Yupp...

I ordered mine and chose to get it delivered.

Once you choose your phone,and plan, it gives you an option to pick up in store, or delivered by a certain date. For me it was the 19th.
Then after that, you pay..

Well...not exactly. You don't get one shipped to the Apple Store just for you. You just get pre-verified by AT&T to speed things up, so technically they could sell out of all of the iPhones before you get there and you'd have to wait.

AT&T's stocks of iPhones in no way hinders your ability to purchase a plan from them and the phone from Apple.

I have two phones on the account

Phone 1 - Eligible for upgrade
Phone 2 - Not eligible for upgrade


So if i order new iPhone for "Phone 1" once it arrives can i just activate it with "Phone 2" w/out calling ATT or whatnot?

Yes, you can use the upgrade eligibility for one phone line to get an iPhone 3G S and activate it on another phone line.

Yes, just order it with that, and when it comes/you pick it up, you just stick your SIM card in it (Current SIM card), and activate through iTunes.

There it will make you get a $30 data plan, and texting plan of your choice.

Call up AT&T and have them remove the data plan from phone 2's service.

i finally decided what color 3gs im gonna get and i just went to apple.com to order it and i put in my att info and it said att servers r temporally down please try again in 17 hrs and 43 mins

Yea I ordered my earlier today from apple's website. Right before I ordered it, I talked to one of there reps online and ask her if I would have it by the 19th and she said yes. I also said something to her about how att ran out of pre-order stock, ask her if they had more in stock than them and she said "fed ex will deliver it to you by the 19th" so she really did not answer my question. When I checked my order status it says deliver by the 19. I ordered like 7 hours ago and still have not got a confirmation email yet though.

Confirmation can take up to 12-24 hour to be sent out that how long mine took.
