I've always bought my past iPhones either used or straight from the Apple store with no contract and used PAYG.

This time, i plan to get the next gen phone (2 actually) on a family plan, likely from Rogers. I haven't paid attention in the past as to whether or not one can pre-order from the Apple online store and have the phone set up with a Rogers plan and subsidy, or will i likely have to buy direct from the carrier to get that?

I'm not much of a stand in line kind of guy, but would like these phones on launch day.

Just preorder early from Rogers.
I got my 4S from Rogers on release day.
Picked it up at my local store in Toronto.
No drama, no lines.

Apple offers the iPhone thru carriers online (at least for the U.S.), might be the same for Canada.

Thanks, I knew it was possible in the US which is why i was hoping it's possible here. I don't see an option on Apple Canada's website now to choose a carrier for the 4S so I may be out of luck.

I'd imagine I could preorder direct from the carrier though.
