Ordering Online AND Buying In Store?

Here's a question I haven't seen answered on the boards yet...

I plan on ordering the 5S online at 3am because after the news of supply constraints that seems like my best bet for getting a new phone. However, since I'm off tomorrow I was also thinking about checking a few Verizon stores in the morning on the off chance they might have some phones in stock. If I do luck out and find a Verizon story that is still carrying the model I want, will I be able to use my upgrade or does it immediately disappear once I place my order online?

It disappears once you're order online is completed.

Once you order online, your upgrade is gone.
It checks your upgrade eligibility once you place the order.

Not sure any way around if, especially if you order from Apple.com.
Maybe the Verizon drone can move it to the phone in the store but I doubt it.

I believe the upgrade disappears immediately when you order online. Personally, I would just pick one method or another and stick with it.

OK, that's how I figured it would work. On the plus side at least I can sleep in on my vacation day now...
