iPhone 16 Pro Max Ordering Question

So my other half has an iPhone 14 Plus and I am going to get him an upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro Max for his birthday… I was stupid and didn’t preorder. Two questions:

1: what time does Apple update the “in-store pickup” availability for the next day (for sanity, what time Cupertino time lol)

2: our mobile carrier is Xfinity and I just discovered you can’t do the Apple Citizens financing unless you’re on one of the big carriers. I’ve read that I can select a T-Mobile phone and still activate it on Xfinity. Is this true or should I not chance it?

I would check between 6 and 10 a.m. in your store's time zone. Honestly, they could update their stock at almost any time of the day. You should definitely check early in the morning, though.

Yes, the T-Mobile phone worked for me that way; it was unlocked. I put an AT&T line on it.

On launch day it updated at roughly 8am eastern in Cupertino that would be 5 am
