So I am looking to purchase a phone as I am currently phone-less. Like almost every buyer, I am looking at the iPhone (specifically, the 3G/S) and its OS for daily use. I was just wondering if people could share their thoughts on how helpful the iPhone is in terms of staying organized, such as the calendar application and ease of use.
Please, please, please be honest, as the iPhone would make quite an impact on my wallet if I choose to purchase it. I am more interested in hearing the negatives rather than positives.
The main downfall, as I see it when compared to Android/Blackberry/Nokia phones, is that it seems like I would need to force myself to get in the habit of opening the specific applications because there are no alerts or information on the homescreen. So I am just a little curious how people are using the phone to stay organized with the lack of quick access to this kind of information.
I've tried out the iPhone at an AT&T store, as well as some of the Blackberries that were there, and it seems like the iPhone would be a difficult device to use for staying organized. I only played around with it myself and was unable to ask these types of questions because the AT&T representatives were busy dealing with other customers (or maybe because I look like a poor college student?), so I am a little blind as to what normal usage would be like on this phone thus your honest opinion would be greatly appreciated!
