organize menu bar?

i was wondering how to change the order of the menu bar. for some reason my battery meter and clock have switched place, so the battery meter is on the right and the clock on the left.

For Apple menu bar items, hold down the command key while dragging them around. You can also drag them off the menu bar entirely to remove them.

This generally does not work for menu bar items from third-party software.

Ah yes...thanks. I failed to mention that.

There's a nice entry in the MacRumors Guides about the menu bar, including discussion of how to rearrange and remove items.

Wild - Can I ask where one would find these cool tricks? Like yesterday, I learned if you hold down ctrl, alt, apple and hit 8, it does something very cool. If you could point me in the right direction for any lists of these things, that would be nice.
