Organized discussion on protection films

I know we have several threads going on the different types of protectors: Bodyguardz, SGP, Zagg, BestSkinsEver, Wrapsol, etc. Many of us are still researching feverishly, trying to determine the best manufacturer and model of protector for our needs. It would be extremely helpful to merge that discussion into one thread, with several points being discussed with each option.

From what I have been seeing, these are all great to include if you have purchased/installed any of the main brands of films:
Brand and MODEL (SGP has about 78 different options)
photos
texture description (from glass-like smoothness to the Zagg orangepeel)
tackiness for normal use
how well the films fit the phone
ease of installation
film adhesion to phone

I've been looking for several days and finally pulled the trigger on a BSE for my wife (want to keep the phone perfect because she wants to Ebay it and go with white when they come out and the BSE is inexpensive). I got the SGP EX Ultra Crystal. I then emailed them to cancel my order because of the reports of poor adhesion around the earpiece and home button.

Haven't even tried a single installation yet and I am already beyond frustrated. Ultimately want to go with full body protection film and minimalistic case that preferably keeps the back open. Too many negatives on bumper though to go with that so still looking for cases.

I just purchased my Best Skins Ever and I'm hoping it'll workout just fine. I'll post results as soon as I have them!

That is about half of them. Well, oh well. I actually ended up canceling my SGP order and doubled my BSE order (one for me and the wife). If the orangepeel is too much for me, it was cheap and I'll wait for PS (or these other companies to get their act together) for the screen only.

I've tried them all. Zagg, Best Skins Ever, Body Guardz and Phantom Skinz.

They all have orange peel to some extent but not bad enough to ruin image quality. Out of all the skins Phantom has the least amount of orange peel and also has great cuts and fast shipping.

You CAN NOT beat Best Skins Ever price and customer service so I still think they are the best.

Body Guardz also has minimal orange peel (about the same as Phantom Skinz actually) but it's pricier.

Bottom line, get the cheapest you can find, you aren't missing out on much with the others.

true that... you start to go crazy from all the conflicting information etc etc...
i pull the trigger on 3 zagg shield things... hope it all works out. a mate of mine had one on his iphone4 and it looks decent. not as slick as glass but you make sacrifices for protection i guess
