I'm using Word 2004, and this just drives me crazy: if I have multiple documents open at once, which I usually do, when I go to another application (say, my internet browser) and go back to Word, the document that I was just editing/working on does not pop up. Instead, it seems the default is the first document created out of the open documents. Not only is this utterly senseless, it's maddening. I'm in the middle of typing a sentence, click over to Mail for a second, and when I come back to Word, I'm on the document I was working on two hours ago, not the one I'm in the middle of.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I can't find anything in relevant in Word preferences or system preferences. If anyone has noticed this issue and noticed it was solved in later versions, I'd buy an update just for that!
