Organizing iPhone 3g winterboard: lots of empty spaces between icons

I have the 3g, jailbroken, with winterboard. I also have an app called Categories, which allows me to make folders on winterboard so I don't have pages after pages after pages of apps.

The problem is, when an app is moved to a folder, the other icons don't get organized automatically. An empty space replaces the place of the icon instead. I still have 3 pages on my winterboard, but most of it is just empty space.

How do I fix this?

Yeah, the icons just stay on the page they were, they don't all get moved together into the fewest number of pages. You just have to drag the icons over to the first pages manually.
