Original bumper does not fit 4s

Did apple redesign the bumper after the original release? The iPhone 4s mute switch is slightly lower than the original iPhone 4.

Does this seem to be a problem for many cases?

It is a problem for a lot of cases. The Verizon iP4 has the mute switch in the same place.

Yes they did do a slight modification to the bumper when the Verizon iPhone came out. The new model does fit the 4S, I'm using a white one now.

You can trim vibrate button opening little bit, if you wish.

Its a bummer they had to move that mute button, all my old plastic cases no longer fit

bumper scratches

Yeah I used the bumper on my iPhone 4 for a while and then noticed it had scratched the band because of dust and dirt that gets under it. After that I just went raw with a skin to protect the back when I set it down. Fits much better in my pocket without a case.

I have a bumper purchased a few weeks before the 4s came out and it fits fine.
