Original configuration of G5 1.8GHz Single

Online warehouse DVWarehouse, in Hollywood, CA, sold me a used G5 single, 1.8GHz. Before buying I asked if it had a modem, and was told no, so I ordered one. When the machine arrived, there was a modem card to install, but the computer did already have a modem. When I returned the extra modem, DVW called and said that it didn't have one; when I ordered the modem they installed it, then accidentally also sent the modem card I'd returned (so, no money back). Folks, it was all of $20, but I'm curious. Did the G5 single, 1.8GHz really ship without a modem, back in the day? If so, fine, but if not, maybe I'm lucky I only got taken for $20 (be advised). As stated, I'm curious...

Modems were BTO by the time the G5 swung around.

Yeah, My 1.8Ghz Dual doesn't even have a modem.
