It's still fantastic, and run great on Mavericks!

EA's mobile version doesn't even have anything on this work of art. :D

I've heard of this game so many times over the years. It was fun to watch your video just now and see the gameplay. I got a kick out of your commentary as you played too. Clearly you have some dungeon keeping in your blood. Hehe.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D
It's so good, Dungeon Keeper 2 improved on it quite well.

It's a pity we got that abomination from EA called Dungeon Keep mobile. Where simply mining the dirt blocks can take between 4-24 hours!

Yeah. When money making invades game design bad, bad things happen.

Sad, but true. it's happening far too much lately.

If EA wanted to make people happy they could easily just have taken DK1 and redone it in that cartoony graphics, and put it out on tablets.

Making it both "modern" and getting into a new market. Especially since it only uses left, and right clicks. Should have been easy to use on tablets.

War for the over world is what people want now, a true spiritual successor to the DK line. It's going to be for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Thanks you sir! Now I can ditch my old DOS copy of Dungeon Keeper...but, I'm still saving the instruction booklet!

Let's be a little more precise...people write video games to make money. No biggie...

However, it is when a big publisher tries to squeeze/wrench *every* *last* *penny* from a title, and from the consumer, with no regard to gameplay (or common decency)...that is the problem.

And honestly, the consumers who fall for this in-app-purchase crap will continue to ensure this crap continues.

Do keep it! I've been kicking myself for throwing away old games boxes and manuals as a child. They're fine collectibles now.

As has already been said, find a nice cozy corner in a cupboard and it will thank you for it, and you will thank yourself also. I have parted with stuff in the past not just games and now wished I had kept it.

I played it many years ago, I got stuck towards the end, I can't remember the details, but there's an insanely difficult last level. Never finished it <sniff>.
