Today I am making my Christmas gifts for family -- I have scanned a bunch of historical photos, and am slaving over a hot G4 to retouch and restore them and print them out on high quality photo paper for family.
One I just finished is a 120 year old photo of my daughter's partner's great-grandmother, smaller than a postage stamp, the only one in existence, and mildewed
. I've just scanned it at 3200 dpi, photoshopped it for - well a good long time - printed it out 4 x 6, and it came out pretty dang good, if I say so myself. I think they'll like it.
(Thank you, Adobe and Epson, for the tools)
Anyone else making things or doing artistic presents this year?
