Today I am making my Christmas gifts for family -- I have scanned a bunch of historical photos, and am slaving over a hot G4 to retouch and restore them and print them out on high quality photo paper for family.

One I just finished is a 120 year old photo of my daughter's partner's great-grandmother, smaller than a postage stamp, the only one in existence, and mildewed :( . I've just scanned it at 3200 dpi, photoshopped it for - well a good long time - printed it out 4 x 6, and it came out pretty dang good, if I say so myself. I think they'll like it.

Anyone else making things or doing artistic presents this year?
 
my friend is making me blanket that matches the colors of my room...

Some of my cousins just when to Italy. I borrowed all their video footage and pictures because I told them I wanted to see them. I'm making a DVD of all their combined adventures. I've added music, transitions, captions, etc. I thought it would be nice because otherwise they have to hook up their DV cameras and play the video that way.

Did this kinda of gift last year for Christmas, and it was very well appreciated. :)

I do not know what I am going to do this Christmas...:confused:
