Does anyone have the first generation iphone and a Volvo with the ipod adaptor? I read these will NOT charge 3G's, but will it work with the old one? It is hardwired and will integrate ipod through car stereo. Anyone know if successful with iphones?

If it isn't compatable, does it just not work, or does it kill the phone?
