My daughter was given my other half's old iphone. Its the original model.

He'd had it as a gift and it had been unlocked so that he could use it in the UK without being tied.

All was well but she apparently let it update when connected to iTunes one day and this basically undid the unlock.

We've been waiting about two months for him to sort the phone out or look into it and me now fed up waiting have decided to see if I can get it sorted myself - I am NOT a techie!

So there was a passcode on it which I couldn't get past as I wanted to do it on my computer as opposed to hers so we've totally reset the phone.

Can anyone advise me what route to go on from here to unlock it again for her.

All help appreciated!

I find it difficult to believe that your "other half" has taken two months to sort out the 'phone.

If it's taking that long, why not just ask for the pass-code?

All very strange!
