Hello, I'm looking for information on the original iPhone, particularly regarding it's packaging. At some point in time the 'iTunes' app icon was added to the front of the box, however I cannot find any information regarding this change. I wanted to know when did the packaging go from the original 16 apps highlighted on the top of the box to the 17 that lasted until the iPhone 3G. I would like to know when it happened and on what storage capacities. If anyone knows that, that would be amazing. Thank you very much.

I would guess that it would have come with the IOS updates so either 11th July 2008 when IOS 2.0 was released or June 17th 2009 when IOS 3.0 was released. That's purely by assumption though as they were the major updates.

Another theory would be when they released the upgraded 16GB model.

I think it was somewhere halfway with the release of iPhone OS 1.1.2. Not sure though.
