Original Iphone Repair

Hi,
I am sending my 1G Iphone off to Apple today for repair. They said on the phone that it is likely that I will get a replacement one and not my one back. So my question is Is it likely that I will get a 3g one back or the 1G one again?

To be honest I would prefer a 1G one back again.

It wouldn't hurt to ask AppleCare if you could get a 3G 16GB White/Black and made the switch openly, rather then "just thinking about it." Then again, Apple can say yes/no, then you're in the same boat, but whatever they send you, is what you've got! (Sounds like Yogi Berra(isms'). It's not too late to ask 'em is it? Good Luck.
