Original iPhone with 3G service?

I know this sounds retarded, but is there anyway to find an iPhone with the original design, but that supports 3G? I just like the old aluminum design so much better...

Yeah, I know, just wondering if it would somehow be possible to swap the casings of the phones, so that an aluminum original iPhone design one, could have 3G.

Im not sure but if you decide to hack up an iphone 3G and a 2G model and frankestain them its a possiblity
But I know the back plate and the design of the edges with those models is different so it might give you some problems.

The aluminum casing would probably reduce the signal strength.

The insides of the 3G are shaped differently than the insides of the original EDGE iPhone.

...also take into consideration the antenna locations on the camera, the audio jack and the bezel on the iPhone 3G.
