My mate has a PS2, the big one not the slimline one, and he wants to connect it to the internet but he cant find a ethernet? Anyone know how to connect it?

Just thought I would ask about this here 'coz there is bound to be someone who owns one... Or used to.

Thanks in advance!

The original PS2 did not have Ethernet. It came along as part of the PS2 hard disk add-on most commonly acquired along with Final Fantasy XI.

To be more technical, it DID NOT come along as part of the PS2 HD add-on. It was released before FFXI, and it actually had an Ethernet Adapter that you could buy. You didn't have to purchase it with FFXI, as there were other games that could use the Ethernet Adapter without the HD. They ran for around $40 when they came out, and it added a 10/100 ethernet port and 56k modem to your PS2.
