Apologies in advance if this is not appropriate or if i'm posting this in the wrong area.

Yesterday, i bought the original Apple Wireless Keyboard (old white style). I've connected it to my PC (XP) via my MS Laser Mouse 8000 BT dongle. While in Windows, all works OK.

But when i reboot however, the keyboard doesn't seem to be detected, so i can login at the startup screen. It seems i have to have a wired keyboard to log in. The i need to turn the Apple Wireless KB off and on again to have it picked up again in Windows.

Has anyone got this type of setup going on bootup or am i wasting my energy? :D Would be a shame because it's a great keyboard.

Cheers,

G

I have a similar setup going on, only with Vista. I do have to turn the keyboard off and back on again for my Thinkpad to "recognize" it. Windows is strange like that.

Is there possibly a way to save your settings in whatever program you use to control Bluetooth on your machine? Like saving a profile or something?
