I am betting that when many on-line would be customers saw the long delivery times, they opted out and will head to a store to buy one instead - just like Apple planned!! No online pre-orders should have been a clue. The only thing they didn't plan on was the tsunami and earthquake why didn't they see that coming too.... I blame Verizon and their lame launch of the iphone for this!

The local Apple store here in Columbus already has a line 50 deep. One of the best buys I called also has a line. I think its going to be hard to get one today unless you want to wait in an 8hr line.

Got one here, wow. I showed up around 6:30pm and got my 16GB White around 8:55pm. Big line here, one apple person told me they were told it was one of the biggest lines on the east coast.
