hi

i brought a powerbook g4 of a mutual friend ,as my thread titled powerbook nightmare explains, and am having trouble installing os 10.2 on it.

now i completely erased the harddrive via target disk mode because it still had his passwords on it, and still i just cannot install os 9 or 10 nothing.

All i get in installing os 10 is a restart computer message in four languages when i put the cd in , now i have zapped the memory , reset pmu and open firmware , still no luck can anyone just someone help i have been told it is a software prob and will cost £180 yes and thats just for a software problem so please can someone bring an end to this maddness !!!!!!!

and for the record i think it had os 10 on it before i erased the hd , plus when i try install os 9 it says error type 11 please restart and turn extentions off which still does nothing.

arggghhhh !!!!!!!!!!
