I have a WD 4TB external drive system for the MAC POWERPC G5 Quad. Nothing I do will allow me to see or format beyond 2TB. I can put the unit on OS 10.5 and it works fine. WD's site says 10.4.10 and higher will support 4TB. I can not find this info on the apple site. Does 10.4.11 really support anything beyond 2TBs. Thanx

It shouldn't have any problem as far as I know. The WD system is a RAID of two 2 TB drives, I take it? Sounds like it might be configured to RAID 1 rather than RAID 0.

I'm having the exact same problem. 10.4.11, G5 Quad does not recognize the disk (prompts me to format it) and it shows up as 2TB unformatted in Disk Utility. But on a Snow Leopard machine it shows up as 4TB and Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Also tried it on an XServe running 10.4.5 Server and I get the same results as the Tiger Quad.

Obviously WD's info is wrong.. did you ever find a solution, john.rodgers?
