I will be buying a new tower soon, (hoping for an up-date of the 4 core to a W3570 3.2G)
Till then I'll still be using OS9 and PS 5.5 for my digital photo work, but I want to use a newer 10 than 10.2 for the internet. So I went to the Apple store today to get 10.5 and I got divided opinions on wether 10.4 or 10.5 would work best on my machine. I have 2G ram, SCSI boot drives on Apple 2 channel ATTO card, Photos, data on SATA drives on a external 4 bay Firmtek box. Any chance this machine would run Aperture at a resonable speed?? just to try it out.?? I am assuming it would be best to install the new OS10 on a seperate drive/partition and re-boot to change, as I'm doing now.
