Sorry but i couldn't catch it if we going to have video recording with OS 3.0 3G or it just with 3gs?

Thanks

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever why video/voice control should only be 3G S features as there are apps in the App Store that have voice control (not to mention Apple's own Voice Memo app which works on a 3G) and video works if you use a JB app. Bad bad Apple.

Apart from the 3G sensor not being fast enough.
And there is no video hardware encoding chip on the 3G.

Other than that. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Voice control is another matter.

It's due to quality. The current phones can't get over 15fps, the hardware isn't good enough. I've got Cycorder on my first gen iPhone and the quality is ok, but nothing I'd want to share with people.

Who cares its only 15fps. Most phones out there now record video but its no better. 15fps is better than nothing. Most people only record stuff on their phones to MMS to friends and family anyway. 15fps is more than enough for that.

I think you're right - Apple don't want poor video from the 3G showing up on youtube and giving them a bad rep.

It's not 15fps though.

Most hacked iPhone videos are around 5fps. I think 15 is the theoretical maximum. And then you'd have to wait for the phone to encode the video to MP4.

When you say there is no reason. There are actually two.

The video from a 3G is actually not that bad. Its fine for MMS and YT. I've used Cycorder myself and its fine for what most people will use it for.
