I think it will be basically simultaneous with the iOS 12 public release, however as mentioned your iPhone will have to be updated to iOS 12 first. I'm already running the iOS 12 GM on my iPhone, but hopefully I can do the WatchOS 5 update overnight tonight.
May need to remove the beta profile from your phone and reboot before it shows up.

Downloading WatchOS 5 is a pain. Slow as molasses. I never look forward to updating AW; I rather take a beating.
10 mins for the update so I thought, 'I know what takes 10 mins..'

Apple uses Bluetooth to update update Apple watches, although I have no idea why since you can do a faster manual update without using Bluetooth.
This...the iPX and Apple TV were done quick. The watch is taking FOREVER
Still not showing for me.. I deleted the iOS12 Beta profile, rebooted, still nothing.. huff
Not showing up for me either...Removed my beta profile, hard reset, and nada. Just keeps saying checking for update.
