i just recently launched a program that came with an enhanced music cd i had bought recently.. so os 9 seems to pop up, but i don't have os 9.. though now i have the control panel... which is useless to me.. is there a way to remove it or does it not really affect my comp?

edit: oh yeah runnin' tiger

My understanding of it was that it would appear if you had an OS 9 System Folder on your Hard Drive and then disappear if you didn't. It's not really that big of deal if you're not going to use classic, though, is it? :p

If it bugs you that much, move Classic.prefPane out of /System/Library/PreferencePanes so that System Preferences *can't* load the Classic Preference Pane. ;)
