os 9?

Nothing, you install it alongside OS X, not over it. Just don't tell it to erase your disk when you install. Hold down the Option key at startup to select which you want to boot into (or use the Startup Disk Control Panel/Preference). However, I think some recent Macs might be incapable of booting into OS 9, but I'm not sure about that, just seem to remember reading it somewhere.
