OS Hangs On Firefox and Thunderbird Javascript Errors

Hello all,

I recently swapped out my old HD for and SSD, and cloned my HD image to the SSD. Since then, whenever there is a javascript error in either Firefox or Thunderbird, the entire OS hangs for about 30 seconds, and when it recovers, either Firefox or Thunderbird pops up a javascript error notification.

I've done a good bit of searching for other reports of this but could only find one similar report that had gone unresolved.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
