This is a mildly amusing story of how some people don't really understand about operating systerms and making websites accessible to all.

I have been looking for a job for ages now, one of the best UK websites (imho) is Workthing . However, I have not been able to get the darn thing to work on any of my 4 mac browsers in osx (camino, safari, mozilla and my last resort IE). Therefore I had to use my work PC to access this site, which I shouldn't really beusing for looking for another job! So I wrote some feedback on the workthing site explaining that you could not access the site if you were a macuser. Someone called Sue speedily responded:

Apologies, our site isn't fully compatible with the MAC, our traffic is predominantly PC based (99%) and so as yet we haven't gotten full compatibility.

 I then pointed out:

I was wondering perhaps you only get 1% of visitors from other operating systems because they arrive at the workthing site for the first time and realise they can't use it, so don't return? Surely there's no point in going to a site that you know you can't access.

She's now passed it on to their IT dept, tehe! Anyone else got a story like this of help-desk/IT people telling you you're a nuisance because you're a macuser?
