I just got my brand new MBP 15inch today, and I've been playing around with it for about 2 hours now, installing my programs, moving files over etc. I just went to update and now it's stuck on a white screen, which has me seriously worried!

It was supposed to update:
- itunes
- Thunderbolt
- The actual OS itself
- Something else I can't quite remember.

I clicked install the updates, then restart. Now it's stuck on the white screen, no progress bar or anything like that. It's been like this for 5+ minutes. I'm nervous to hold down power to force shut down, because I'm afraid the OS is updating in the background or something, but I expected a progress bar or something?

Any help/reassurance would be greatly appreciated - I'm sitting here with the "omg this is amazing!" feeling (first time Mac user) slowly, but surely drifting to a "please let it be ok please let it be ok please let it be ok please let it be ok" type of emotion!

Thanks a million,
Conor
