I have a MacBook that I bought in early/mid 2007 (see signature). I've been debating whether I want to upgrade the OS from Tiger, and whether it's worthwhile to do so. It's currently running on 1GB of RAM, so that could be a factor, too.

Is there a place I can go to see what my upgrade options are? I know some versions of the OS won't function on older hardware.

That machine can take up to 3.3GB of ram. I highly suggest upgrading the ram with two 2GB sticks and then putting Lion or Snow Leopard on it. Snow Leopard may be a bit faster then Lion, but they'll both be much more secure and up to date then Tiger.
