i am doing video work. just had some people send me Quicktime Files they compressed with DVCPRO HD.

for some reason i cannot preview the files at all. get the blank white screen in QuickTime player. No audio either.

i've attached a .png if my items that are in Libriary/Quicktime/

DVCPRO is not a compression format. It is a professional recording format for digital video tape. You will probably need Final Cut Pro HD to handle those files.

Dvcpro Hd

I had thought that too. So i sent a file as a test to a friend of mine on another mac pro and he is able to view the QT file.

Was hoping to simply output stills from QT and avoid FCP.

Wonder why he can see it in QT and I can not?
