hey everyone,

when i boot up my mac mini it boots into console

while this is not a problem - i would like it to boot into a GUI like my macbook. i did not change any settings - it's just been this way since i've had it.

i tried a few 'sudo' commands that wikipedia listed - however i got errors.

is there any terminal commands that would re enable the GUI bootup?

thanks!!

To turn on Verbose booting, at the Terminal type the following:
sudo nvram boot-args="-v"

Disabling Verbose booting is just as easy:
sudo nvram boot-args=

thank you!

also - i have noticed since i tried to install leopard on the mac mini (not knowing the disc was hardware specific)... i have seen diskarb is not ready yet, we'll try again soon.

this was fixed when i inserted the leopard CD and it booted from there... this leads me to believe it's trying to boot from the CD and it's not in there...

is there a way to disable this? my bootup disc is set as my main hard drive... so i don't know why i'm experiencing this problem
