Help - this stupid different regions thing means I need to install some engine to drive region i dvd's. I've tried VLC, which, having worked the very first time, has since refused to play anything ... I suspect I'm doing something [or, not] very naive, but I'm a blighter!
:rolleyes::rolleyes:

As far as I know, you physically can not do that without changing the actual Region Code of your drive, by using a program such as this one.

If that one's not right, google for another, but for reading DVD's for whatever reason, you'd need to change your region code.

Remember, you can only change your region code so many times.

Yes, if you frequently play DVDs from a different region, you're much, much better off purchasing and connecting a new DVD player and switching it to that region. Fortunately, these days that's a relatively inexpensive option.
