Do the macbooks come with the disk for Snow leopard (OS X 10.6) as well as being preinstalled or if i have a bootcamp partition, will I need to buy the disk?

New MacBooks will come preinstalled with Snow Leopard
They will also come with the "restore" discs as well

I bought my macbook back in Oct. from bestbuy. Ad online said and in the paper said it came with Snow Leopard preinstalled or that it came with disks. Nope, neither. I am currently running 10.5.8 and the restore disk is 10.5.6. Bestbuy was no help, they claimed they were working with apple on it. I gave up.

in my opinion, buy directly from apple...

That's odd, considering SL was released at the end of August.

I know, I was pretty pissed. But in fact, when I first got it home and I installed Coconut, it stated the battery was 4months old already. So maybe that was part of the problem too? Just picked the one that was on the shelf the longest
