I have updated my mac with the new software, however when I open Safari it opens a page that I visited directly after installing the update.

(one I had updated my mac I wanted to set google as my search engine instead of yahoo, I googled and looked in a mac forum for how to do this, and this is the last page that opens)

I have searched for help on this and found this answer

System Preferences > General

Uncheck the "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps."

BUT I don't have the option to uncheck the box as it does not appear in my system preferences.

Please help this is so frustrating!

When I open safari, I want to see the mac store as my default page, then when i search something in the tool bar I want it to search via google!

Open Safari, click 'Safari' and 'Preferences' on the menubar.

In Safari preferences on the 'General' tab (it's the first one that opens), select 'New windows open with: Homepage', and then write the address of the page you wish to be your homepage to the field 'Homepage:'
