os x always shows two cd on desktop

I have never seen this before. Whenever I put a cd or dvd into the drive on my macbook it shows two disk...it shows the same disc twice. same name etc. if i go into finder it only shows it once...but on the desktop shows two icons. anyways to fix this bugs the crap out of me.

Try going to Preferences and deselecting Show CD's/DVD's on desktop.

Then, go back and re-select it.

If that fails, try a restart.
