I have about 1TB of disk storage on an old Windows XP system that I want to use as my backup disk.
I would like to do frequent incremental backups such that new and changed files are copied over, and deleted files are removed from the backup version.
I've tried the (free) version of SuperDuper but, of course, that just gives me a full backup of my directories- long transfer times even over my ethernet cable.
I've also tried rsync(x) [with the -E option] but I get all files transferred. I've seen somewhere that this is a "known problem" with SAMBA drives.
Therefore, what is the best way to achieve what I'm trying to do?
Thanks
Susan
