New to Mac.. Just got a macbook pro and I'm upgrading to a SSD. I don't really have anything on that old HDD on the machine, but I will need the Lion OS. Can I just pirate one and put it on? Does it use a key for that if so where can I find that or does it use the serial? Thanks...

Use the Lion Recovery Disk Assistant to make an installer from your Lion Recovery Partition:
OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery
Lion Recovery Disk Assistant

MacBook, MacBook Pro: Replacing the Hard Disk Drive, transferring data to the new HDD

the guide includes:
  • 0. Identify your MacBook or MacBook Pro
  • 1. Getting a new HDD
  • 2. Guides to replace the internal HDD with a newer one
  • 3. Transferring data from the old HDD to the new HDD
  • 4. Using the optical disk drive (ODD) slot for placing an SSD or HDD inside the MB/P (OPTIBAY)

PS: Discussing about pirating is not allowed, and no, Mac OS X does not use a product key, but since you don't need to pirate, that point is moot anyway.
