Not sure if anyone has done or posted this before, but I thought others might benefit.

Here are all of the Mac OS X and Classic system sounds in iPhone Ringtone format. Download and unzip, then select all and double click to add to iTunes as ringtones or alert tones.

Thanks, do they only work as ringtones or are there alert tones too?

Edit: Never mind I just realised they are interchangeable

I believe they should work as either, but I haven't actually tested them on my iPhone yet. :eek:

EDIT: Yes, they work, just make sure you have sync ringtones checked in iTunes. Gotta love wild eep! :D

Also, here's the Mac Bong as a ringtone.

I love the iPhone, but the built-in sounds and ringtones are pathetic, especially given that the OS X sounds are so great.

Here's the tutorial for making your own ringtones.

very cool, reminds me of the old days. How would I go about using these on my iPhone?

Nevermind :) just noticed they've allowed custom alerts... this is great.
