Hi, my macbook crashed twice today, and I don't know why. I use a OWC 120Gb Mercury EXTREME Pro 6G SSD, 1Tb Western Digital in a data doubler and 16Gb Corsair Vengeance ram. I've had this since October and I never had any problem before. Could someone help me understand this, thanks :) oh and, I read on the forum that Blackmagic Disk Speed Test can cause crashes...it is possible that its because of that?

There aren't any major irregularities....what were you doing when it crashed both times?

I had iTunes, Sparrow, Tweetbot, Acquia (drupal developpement tool) and Chrome opened. Now that I think about it, I rarely use itunes...maybe once or twice a week, but it was opened during both crashes hmm...So my hardware is fine? :)

So your memory looks fine, but there could be hidden logs that won't show up if the memory is indeed bad. Rare but it can happen...try 'repair disk' in disk utility, if that doesn't do anything then try resetting the PRAM. If it still doesn't work, then you've got a memory problem. To the apple store it is!

If the RAM is not the original RAM, apple store will not help you.

I would put the original RAM back in and check the odd drivers that are installed.

Its kinda hard to diagnose since its happening randomly. I've been working all after on it and it hasn't crashed again.
