Not sure if this is the right category for this issue. Recently my Handbrake encoded m4v's won't play in QT X, it states this file must be played in QT 7. It plays fine in 7, no issue, but older converted m4v's play in Quicktime X.
Could this be a codec issue? I made sure that all my QT libraries (home, root and system) were identical. What codecs are necessary for AC3, AVI, M4V, etc?
I installed the new Perian 1.2.2 and sort of believe this may be the issue. Should also add I modified Handbrake to encode my movies with subtitles and placed the AAC stereo track first, otherwise no changes since my first m4v's. However Quicktime X can handle those features.
