In the SuperBowl Simpsons episode, we can clearly see the video made by Flanders about Dancin' Homer being seen by schoolkids on a Mac using OS X and Quicktime!

Very funny episode, and fantastic to see our great interface being used by cartoons (of all places!)

Isn't there a repertoire where we can just put our findings (Mac in the movies, on TV, in the news)??

Simon.

I don't know of any such place, but this is good to see nonetheless - respect to the Mac OS where respect is due, IMHO.

It's not an exact copy, but it's close enough to be immediately recognizable as Mac OS X.

There was quite a long thread a while back detailing all the shows, commercials, et.al that had mac-related items.

Someone will be by to dig it up shortly, I'm sure.

Matt Groening did an Apple advertisement some time ago. It was posted on the internet last week or so. I’ll see if I can find it again.

I do remember when Bart wrote the comic 'Angry Dad' and he went to work at the dot-com company, they were running G4 towers. I also seem to remember Comic Book guy having an old iMac.

It's odd- looking closer you can clearly see the teal scrollbar from OS 9 in the background, yet the Quictime has the OS X buttons in the upperleft.

Every computer on the Simpsons (and most animation) clearly uses Classic widgets for the window decorations. I was just thinking the other day it's funny how that's never been updated. The old look is just so classic and easy to draw I guess.

And here I am, thinking cartoons are an accurate depiction of reality...

What's next, no Santa Claus? :D

Very cool.

Anyone know where I can watch the show?

&(*! Tivo didn't catch it.

Thanks.
