Both my movie files and my extensive music collection are kept on my hard drive. It's a 1TB Western Digital that has had ZERO problems until now.

This problem began the other day. All of the sudden, for example, I look in a band or album folder in my iTunes folder and see this:

I found out what I thought was a permanent solution: delete the corrupted folders in the iTunes folder itself, and the songs in iTunes, then use iPodRip or the CDs of the music to drop them back in. But now it's happened again. Upon using get info, it appears these files are zero KB alias files. Something is ERASING MY STUFF.

Please...help me. These tunes mean a lot to me.

Be sure to watch out for a bad cable or a bad connector. If the drive is only corrupting on your Mac, then stop using it on your Mac. Otherwise, stop using it at all until you can get a copy made.
