Ok so I messed around with a couple of the Dock files. My Leopard 3d Dock looks fine, but when I switch to the Tiger style 2d dock it's screwed. How can I restore these files !?

try using this in terminal as one line of code
$ defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES; killall Dock

to turn it 3d again try

$ defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO; killall Dock

Now I only have to find which ones to replace! I have to manually delete the "bad" files....and I don't know which ones those are. :\

When in the 3D Dock mode try and replace these files; bottom 1 through 5(png); left 1 through 5(png) and right 1 through 5(png). You have to drag them to the trash before replacing them with the backup copies that was posted above.

I do notice that you seem to have two corners intact so I'm not entirely sure about this. but it's worth trying.

Then you can choose to "killall Dock" and switch to 2D.

Good luck

That worked! Thanks.

Ok so I noticed that my dock on the left is messed up. Which files do I replace?

Last time, did you replace the left1-5 pngs as well? Try doing that if you haven't already by putting your Dock in 3D and then proceed by first dragging the left1-5 pngs to the trash and thereafter drag the images in from the archive above. Then switch to 2D.
