OK, I downloaded and installed the hour of release and (after downloading) was using it 40 minutes later. It is AMAZING! More than what I thought it would be. I love all the little things like the new gestures, click to tweet, the redesigned loading bar, exc. Also, when I first saw the new way of scrolling I thought I would NEVER be able to use it...and I actually LOVE it! I really don't know why everyone hates it so much xD. Every app I have works, and along with Safari, they are SUPER fast.
This is actually the first Apple product that I love through-and-through (which is BIG) Do any of you agree? Was Lion a pleasant (and much needed) surprise?

Glad to read some posts with someone enjoying it so much :D

My experience has been positive as well.
Besides couple small apps that do need a Lion update, everything else seems perfect.
I am still getting used to Mission Control and I agreed that Launchpad seem a bit not necessary, but I will give some time to see if I will use it,
Mail looks incredible. Great job.
Safari is faster.
So far so good. :apple:
