OS X Lion slowing down

Hi
I have been using a Mac now for 2 months and am pleased with it.

I have a Macbook Air 1.1, 13.3" (original 2008/9 1.1 model)

It has a Core2Duo and 64GB SSD.

I upgraded to Snow Leopard Seamlessly and then on again to OS X Lion also very smoothly !!

But I have noticed today that the machine is slow for example when using MS Word and wondered if anyone else has had the same issue ?

Might be related to the UI of Lion. Some thread have claimed that scrollbars may be the issue

My 3 week old 17" MBP slowed down considerably after I updated to Lion. So much so, that I'm considering reverting to Snow Leopard and restoring from my Time Capsule backup.

Keep in mind that right after you boot into Lion for the first time it indexes your files for Spotlight, which hogs a lot of processing power, which can make your first few minutes sluggish.

Dunno if that is the issue you are experiencing. I haven't had any problems.
