OS X Lion total downloads

Is there a way to see how many people have downloaded Lion so far? I looked on the app page, didn't see a tracker, only the # of reviews.

There is not a way. We would only know if Apple announced how many downloads it received, which they may do.

That is not the sort of information that would be made publicly available. I am sure Apple will release some numbers in a press release soon, maybe even tomorrow if they're good, but that's the sort of thing only Apple themselves would be available to view.
