Hi all.

I am running OSX 10.7.5 on a Macbook Pro from 2011. I have just uninstalled and removed my Windows bootcamp partition from my 500gb HDD, and I wanted to re-partition it all back to the OSX Mac. But when I try to do so, I receive an error message as such:

Any suggestions?

Thanks

[[ Any suggestions? ]]

Yup.

1. Backup your main "Mac" partition to an external drive -- create a bootable clone using CarbonCopyCloner (free to download and use for 30 days)
2. Boot from the clone backup (restart, hold down the option key until the startup manager appears, then select the backup drive and hit return)
3. When booted from the cloned backup, open Disk Utility and RE-INITIALIZE the internal drive.
4. Now, use CCC to RE-CLONE the contents of the cloned backup BACK TO the internal drive.

This WILL work for you.

OR you could try to boot to the recovery partition by holding down option during startup and then using disk utility from there to try and repair the partition before blowing everything away.
